Dear Everybody:

I had a roommate interview the other day at a beautiful place in the Presidio, right across the street from Baker Beach. The guy I met really seemed to like me, and I loved the apartment and its gorgeous, wild surroundings.

I'm meeting with another of the roommates tonight, and he said the other guy had nothing but good things to say about me. We've had a few phone conversations, and we seem to get along very well, at least over the phone. I think this place would be just about perfect.

So all of you, please keep your fingers crossed for me! It's coming down to the wire and I need to find a place to move ASAP, and it would be lovely if I could get a place that suited me so well.

If there's any love left for me in the Universe, I hope it comes through now!

The Public Announcement

I got the place in the Presidio!!

Good Stuff: quiet, safe neighborhood, trees and hills and lizards and birds, right across the road from the beach, I can see the top of the Golden Gate Bridge from the driveway, really cool roommates, affordable rent, I can start moving my stuff in right away.

Bad Stuff: no telephone and no internet.

So it looks like I'm going to have to go finally give in and join the 21st century by getting a cell phone. (Shut up!!) If anyone would like to help me with cell phone shopping, please let me know! One of the other roommates wants to get cable internet, and I must have internet access, so while I'll be without internet for a while, we'll have good reason to get it up and running quickly.
